this is the day

Just got home from work and everyone is out at my mother-in-laws so I have the house to myself. It is times like this though where I never know what exactly to do. When everyone is around, I'd like time to myself to do this or that but I get bored quickly when I am here alone. I think when I get done with this though, and a few quick games of spider solitaire, I will go through the stuff I have together for a garage sale and find the stuff nice enough to take to Once upon a child. We leave Saturday night for the Black Hills yet and I still have no idea how we are going to pay for it all so if I can make a few bucks when I go to Mankato tomorrow to go shopping, that'd be good. Too bad I'm pregnant so I can't donate plasma again.

One thing I was excited about is I had found a tent at Target I wanted to get as there is no way we all will fit into our old one but I haven't bought it yet. I looked online at work and saw that it is on sale this week! Thank God for small miracles. I just hope they have some in stock!

I don't know what was up with Bethany last night but she woke up at some point during the night crying and Warren actually woke up before me and got her but she just get crying and crying. Normally she calms right away snuggled with him and especially when he sings to her like she did. But she was so restless. I don't know how much later it was but she was crying again and he had fallen back asleep so I let her pinch me incessantly (her comfort measure of choice) but she just kept whining and thrashing around. After pushing gently on her stomach to make sure she didn't scream in pain, I got up and got her some Tylenol and a bottle of water and eventually she fell asleep and slept until after 10 this morning. She did feel hot so maybe she was running a temp but it is hard to tell in our non-airconditioned house. Today she was as smiley and perky as ever. Her hair, which she does have, is starting to grow out and stands up a lot and so Elexis calls her Fuzzy and today I found Eli sitting on the living room floor with her in front of him and he had a comb and was combing it to make it stand up more. It's times like those I wish I could take more pictures. We do have cameras but considering I haven't been able to pay for developing pictures taken from her birth yet, it doesn' t do much good to take pictures. Thus you will not see any pics on here for awhile.

Well, I better get productive. Guten abend.

Here goes nothing...

Somehow my sisters got this brilliant idea to chronicle their lives online. While I am yet unsure how wise that is, I figure it's the only way we'll keep up with each other since we rarely talk and they NEVER come to visit me. Most be something about coming back to one of their many childhood homes... Anyway, I did like the idea that I could store it as a type of baby book seeing that only my oldest of 7, soon to 8, has one that is semi-filled out. So here goes nothing.

I can't imagine anyone would be interested in in my life. This morning I woke up at 6:30, attributed to getting up at 6:00 the past three mornings for work, and was unable to fall back asleep so I finished reading the James Patterson book I was in the middle of. Then of course I got tired and went back to sleep off and on until 10:00 when I finally decided I better get up and get moving. Bethany and Samuel are still sleeping as I write this - it's so nice when they sleep in. Of course, they then stay up late with their dad but as I long as I can go to bed when I want! And my plans for the rest of the day include cleaning, cleaning, and probably more cleaning to get things back in order from my days of work.

Yesterday, Autumn did a very good watching everyone. Even though Elexis is the oldest, she is not too interested in babysitting (her own siblings that is). Autumn is always willing to do it for a buck. So she decided to have her "club party." Apparently her club involves collecting money for the homeless but also involves having parties for club members - namely her younger brothers she seems to con money out of. So she went to the grocery store ( I found the receipt cleaning up the kitchen last night) and spent $20 buying pop and candy and chips for their party. I guess it went well - the boys had tattoes last night they really liked. At least she watched them and they had fun.

Well, that's a start. I can't imagine anyone actually wanting to read this so I guess it is more of a journal for me. I've always wanted one of those anyway!
